This is a repost from my main site: http://www.randolphlalonde.com/

Key Points:

  • Rogue Cause is the second book in the Rogue Element Series, which started with Rogue Assembled.
  • You don't have to read the main Spinward Fringe Series to enjoy the Rogue Element books.
  • Rogue Cause is available now from my personal Bookstore (powered by Shopify) or on Ream NOW.
  • Rogue Cause will release on Amazon, Kobo, Apple Books, Google Play, and many other retailers on February 14, 2025.

After a whole lot of work, this labour of love is finally ready for everyone. Rogue Cause is the second book in the Rogue Element Series, which started with Rogue Assembly and is set in the Spinward Fringe Universe. This series follows Rogue, an android that was originally created as a decoy for Alice Valent, as she navigates the darker side of the galaxy. This book takes place between the Spinward Fringe novels: Samurai Squadron II and III. You don't have to read them to know what's going on at all, however.

With polishing help from Ream Readers who got to read this as it was being written, the book is ready for early release on my site. This is also the first book I've written after taking an extended break last year, my first in over ten years. My excitement for this book, the characters, world, and story carried me through two full rewrites. I'm taking two weeks off, but I can't wait to get to work on the next book in this series.

Will events in the Rogue Element Series affect the main Spinward Fringe Series? Yes, drastically. Having said that, the Rogue Element Series stands on its own with a different tone and cast of characters that wouldn't fit as well in the main Spinward Fringe Series.

So, normally a post like this is followed with a release date announcement and that's it, but I'm changing things. The book will be available on every quality EBook store on February 14th, 2025, but you can pick it up today from my favourite store - my bookstore. Don't worry, my shop isn't some janky spot with security problems. No, it's protected and hosted by Shopify. When you pick the book up there you'll get copies compatible with every ereader, even older Kindles that only recognize .mobi files.

I could go on about how much fun this was to write, but I think a nice, big sample might be better. (Sorry, this isn't on Blogger. You'll have to go to my main site to check it out by clicking HERE).
