Expendable Few Still In The Works

Even though the Expendable Few draft is finished, editors are still reviewing it, they need time. I was hoping our formatters would be able to pencil us in, but there just won't be enough time to get everything done by the Holidays, which are very close at hand.

That being said, the first two thirds of Expendable Few are getting very high marks from the editors. I'm ready to address problems if they come up, and our formatting partners are excited to work on another Spinward Fringe book.

The bottom line is that we have a lot of work done, so the chances of Expendable Few being out in January are very high. The moment the book gets a pass from an editor, and I get on our formatter's schedule, I'll have a firm release date for you.

I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday season. I feel blessed to have so much support, and owe all of you my thanks.

RL have you ever though of getting these addictive story's made into films? I'm new to the series but have read all to date the same as Dave above but I think the series would go down well as films can't wait till the next one is out Ady.

Randy, thank you so much for the joy of reading the "Fringe" saga! I am absolutely dazzled and completely drawn in. Starting Broadcast 6 today but fear I will be dine by New Years. I can't wait for Expendable Few and Broadcast 7! I would love to see a Movie series emerge from your stories. If they were done anything like the way I image them while I'm reading, I know they would be an instant hit. Maybe even a television series! Keep writing brother, we'll keep reading! ~Marcus

Man I am dieing to read expendable few. Seems like a break from the main saga but with you, RL, I know I'm in for some welcome surprises. I'd take a spot on your crew any time. Just lower the embarkation ramp and let me in; I'll make it worth your wile! You make the magic happen and those words, they just come to life. I've seen the "who should play who" forum but I don't think it matters as long as its your script and a director with a good perspective on the books is in charge. maybe you could oversee to make sure it comes out right. I know I speak for a lot of your most dedicated fans when I say that wherever you stand is good by us.

OK, Brodcast 7 needs to come out before I get the shakes! You should put a warning label on the books that warns us of the dangers of addiction.

Does B7 have a working title... please tell me you are working on it. lol

I went ahead and bought Spinward Fringe: Broadcast 0 on paperback so I could start lending it out to my friends who don't have an e-reader.

I am definitely looking forward to this book! I have had a GREAT deal of pleasure reading this entire series. I am a professional 3D Modeler and I have even considered modeling some of the visionary ships you have described. Especially the Sampson.

Could you at least give us a worst case scenario as to when you think you might publish? I would settle for summer of 2014 if that is how long it is going to take. I believe a majority of us are starting to get strung along

I can't wait for some new spinward fringe material. I've gotten to the point where i'm checking Amazon every single day(sometimes twice a day) for the Expendable few novella. This series is by far the most captivating space opera or for that matter sci-fi book period, i have ever read!! Keep up the good work Mr. Lalonde and for the love of GOD release the book!! lol!

Randy,

I hate to play devil's advocate, and I too as many of your loyal fans have the withdrawl-and-reread shakes; but I for one am pleased that you are taking the time to do them right. They will be all the better read for the effort. I don't know as they are really ever finished, nor perfect, but when you can sit back and say, "okay. It's time to push the button" well, I'll be waiting for you. I'm not going anywhere, and I doubt anyone else is either. Take the time you need to rest, rejuv, and then plow ahead again. They are truly a labour of love; why else would you do it? I'm just pleased you can do what you love to do - and get paid for it!

I just wish I could figure out a way to SLOW DOWN how fast I read them; I would prefer to draw out and savour the experience as long as possible.

Looking forward to some great new reads!

Dr. Jeff
